About Reconstructed
Reconstructed was established on November 25, 2009 and has now become <Deadbeat Dads> on Zul'jin server and Horde faction. Our GM is an original elitist jerks member, and as such much of our guild mentality is modeled in a similar manner. We are a raid oriented guild, but just as important to us is the family feel our guild fosters. Our theory on raiding is to raid hard core on a casual raid schedule, ultimately our goal is to accomplish more in less time. Due to this we only raid three days a week, but during the time we are raiding we are focused and efficient. While we are progressing through current game content, our sights are already set on the upcoming expansion Cataclysm. We are using WoTLK as a kicking off point, and aspire to be a server first guild by the release of the upcoming expansion.
The Raiding Side
We will be raiding 3 days a week in Warlords of Draenor, with a start time of 7p.m. and the raid ending at 11p.m. EST. We expect a lot from our raiding members and as such prefer that anyone holding a raiding rank meet at least 75% attendance. Raids are intended to be fun, but in order to be efficient and maximize our performance a certain amount focus and seriousness is demanded during raid times.
One thing all raiders must understand and adhere to is the fact that the raiding team is bigger than anyone member, as such is reflected in our Recruitment efforts. We over recruit and we do so on purpose. By over recruiting we give our raid squad all the necessary tools and utility it needs to defeat any fight we may encounter. It also ensures that if one or two people miss raid due to real life conflicts (which is perfectly understandable) the raid will still be able to carry on that night. With this policy our raid roster is often in excess of 30 people reaching up to 35 raiding members on certain nights. This means that people will need to accept the fact that they may be asked to sit for a night. This is simply part of being a good team member and is required of all raiding personnel regardless of rank.
Invites begin at 6:30p.m. and are conducted in such a manner that each night we will construct the very best raid we can. Things that are considered during invites are raid utility, individual performance, and member attendance. Especially on progression nights raid invites can be very competitive as raid performance can result in the difference between victory or defeat.
If you are asked to sit, this means that you showed up on time and were there for the guild regardless of weather or not we needed you that night. For your dedication to the guild you will still earn FULL DKP for that night, all we ask is that we can reach you if we need you to come in at some point in the night. This means you can play an alt, be on vent, or just leave a contact number with an officer.
Loot is managed by a very straight forward DKP system, you gain a certain number of points for a raid night and then may spend the points as you please. The bidding system is an open in-raid system much like a real-life auction. A full list of DKP rules is posted in the member section of the forum.
We expect our raiding members to take a certain level of pride in their character. This on the most basic level is reflected through how you gem and enchant your gear, we expect it to be fully epic gemmed and properly enchanted. On a deeper level it means researching your class through forums like elitistjerks.com, use of spread sheets and talking to other members of your class and specc about how to maximize your characters survivability, dps or healing whichever role you fill in raid.
The Casual Side
Reconstructed is more than just a raiding guild, it is a family environment we all enjoy playing in. We enjoy the benefits of recruiting the family and friends of our raiding members to fill out our casual ranks. There are many reasons players may join as a casual member. Players may wish to join the casual ranks because they have friends in guild, because they wish to be a part of something great and find their own way here, or because they wish to be considered for a future spot on the raid team.
By growing the casual ranks the guild stays very active and regardless of when you are online there always seems to be something going on be it pug raids, PVP, dungeon farming etc.
Our casual members are very important to us, they are just as big a part of the guild as any raiding member, the only difference is that they have no obligation to make our raid schedule, and in effect we have no obligation to bring them to raids on main raid nights. However, raid spots open in our raiding roster often due to real life and many other occurrences that can draw people away form the game, in this event we will first look to promote from within our own ranks before we go outside of the guild to bring in a new raider. So in essence if you are hanging out in the casual ranks and are interested in raiding, when a spot opens you have a big advantage over anyone applying from outside of the guild.
Regardless of Rank
Everyone, regardless of rank in the guild, carries with them the guild tag <Deadbeat Dads>. This is a privileged and not a right, many members work very hard to make sure our name is one of quality and reliability. This means when you are interacting with people inside and outside of guild (especially) we expect you to be professional and respectful of other players to uphold our guild name.
Inside of guild however we are far from a PG guild, if anything we are probably rated MA. We do not have an age limit of who we let in guild, we leave it up to the player to be boss of what they are ok and not ok with. We are strong believers of freedom of speech and as such guild chat and vent chat are completely unregulated. We are a very fun oriented guild and we enjoy playing with players who relish in the same forms of enjoyment as us.
Sounds Great! So Whats Next?
First off, thank you for your interest in Deadbeat Dads, if you feel like you fit in with what you have read here we urge you to apply or at least come into our family as a casual member! We love meeting new people and are always eager to grow our family.
If you are interested in joining as a raider please fill out an application and post it in this forum.
If you are interested in joining as a casual for now with the intention of raiding when a spot becomes available please fill out an application and post it on this forum, we will then keep it on file until a spot opens, then contact myself (Willenstein) in game for a casual invite.
If you are interested in joining just as a casual member there is no need for you to post an application, simply contact Varghul, Grinder, or anyone in guild for an invite.
Thank you for your time and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
